Bob was born and raised in New York, and he received his undergraduate education at Brown University. At the University of Virginia School of Law, he graduated in the top 5 percent of his class and was named to the Order of the Coif, one of the highest honors a law student can achieve.
Bob is active in the community. While maintaining his private practice, he also served the City of Atlanta for four years as a Procurement Appeals Hearing Officer, having been appointed by Mayor Maynard Jackson. Bob served 12 years on the Board of Directors of the Grant Park-S.A.N.D. Neighborhood Federal Credit Union (which became part of B.O.N.D. Community Federal Credit Union in 2007), 10 of those years as Vice President. He also donates his time to other causes, including his synagogue, his softball league, AIDS Legal Project and voter protection efforts.
Bob loves softball, reading and travel. He got his first passport in 1971 and has traveled to 25 countries, as well as to every state except Alaska.
When visiting Bob in the office, you’ll find he has a friendly canine assistant, Oscar.
